Permit Statistics Consistent with the Economy

The Town of Stony Plain permit statistics for the first half of 2017 are consistent with the slowdown in the regional economy. The Town posted a total of 25 housing starts, with an estimated value of $10.4 million, and 2 commercial/ industrial permits valued at $2.1 million.


All things considered, the latest building permit report confirms that construction activity in Alberta will feel softer this year. As this latest building permit report shows, all forms of construction are finding their feet after two years of recession.
